The Alliance held the “AI × Digital Transformation Industry–Academia Co-creation Exchange Event”onJanuary 23 (Friday)as its end-of-year promotional activity. The event aimed to foster in-depth exchanges between academia and industry on the applications of generative AI and digital transformation. Scholars serving as project co-principal investigators, industry representatives, and partner associations were invited to explore the practical value of AI technologies and potential collaboration opportunities.
The event brought together representatives from five companies that had previously engaged with or expressed interest in the Alliance’s digital transformation initiatives, including Qisda Corporation, Acer FASHION, ASO Shoes, Tainan Enterprises, and VGV Influencer Technology. The opening session was moderated by Ms. Fu Pei-Chi, Secretary-General of the Taiwan Society of Service Science, followed by a welcome address from Professor San-Yi Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan Society of Service Science and Principal Investigator of the Industry–Academia Alliance Project. Professor Huang highlighted that the event sought to support enterprises in identifying key opportunities in AI and digital transformation through cross-disciplinary dialogue and co-creation mechanisms, thereby strengthening the foundation for future collaboration.
Professor Huang then shared insights on how AI can be integrated with service science through practical cases to create long-term value for enterprises. This was followed by a presentation from Ms. Yen-Ling Huang, Chairperson of the AMT Asia-Pacific Marketing Digital Transformation Alliance, who examined the re-creation of marketing technology value driven by AI-enabled digital transformation. She discussed the challenges and opportunities enterprises face amid the rapid growth of data-driven and AI applications.
In the subsequent session, Professor San-Yi Huang, also serving as a project principal investigator, further elaborated on “Trends in Generative AI Technologies and Industry–Academia Collaboration Experiences.” Through real-world cases, he demonstrated the application outcomes of generative AI, text mining, and knowledge management systems in industry, enabling participants to better understand feasible pathways for AI deployment. The session continued with presentations by Dr. Pei-Chi Lo, Co-Principal Investigator, who shared intelligent marketing solution planning based on large language model (LLM) agents; Mr. Yi-Hang Tsai, Ph.D. candidate, who introduced an LLM-agent-based knowledge management system and a knowledge graph collaboration case with ASE Technology; and Mr. Chia-Ming Chang, Ph.D. candidate, who presented practical industry–academia projects including an AI-enabled cloud platform for the restaurant industry with Jihe Information and a RAG-based enterprise intelligent dialogue system developed with Yulon Nissan.
A networking tea break was arranged mid-event to facilitate interaction and strengthen connections among participants. The second half of the event featured a “Co-creation Roundtable Workshop” focusing on the theme “What Can We Do Together?” Moderated by Secretary-General Fu Pei-Chi, the workshop invited Professor Deng-Neng Chen and Assistant Professor Pei-Chi Lo as table facilitators. Participants engaged in group discussions centered on three key themes—marketing, education and training, and knowledge management—to identify practical pain points, needs, and collaboration ideas. The discussions were highly interactive and generated multiple potential cooperation directions.
The event concluded with a summary and outlook on future collaboration, synthesizing key discussion points and encouraging participating organizations to continue leveraging the Alliance platform to deepen cooperation and transform exchange outcomes into concrete industry–academia collaboration projects. Overall, participants responded positively, noting the high practical value of the event content and gaining a clearer understanding of AI applications and cross-domain collaboration, thereby laying a solid foundation for advancing AI-driven digital transformation in industry.
